Shayne Rankin was a 17 year old football player in Blanchester, OH. After a day of training camp in the hot sun, Shayne felt a cold coming on. He took some cold medicine from the cabinet, and went to bed. Shayne passed away in his sleep that night of a sudden cardiac arrhythmia. This was in July, 2004. Since then, Shayne's family has worked tirelessly to put together "Shayne's Day" in his honor.
