The Run for Ryan is a 5K run dedicated to raising money for the SADS Foundation in honor of Ryan Davis Lopynski, a loving son, brother, grandson, cousin, and best friend who passed away from a SADS condition.
This third annual 5K, The Run for Ryan sponsored by Delta Gamma, is hosted by Ryan's sister Erin with the help of family and friends. Proceeds are being donated to The SADS Foundation. Ryan Lopynski passed away at the young age of 18 on April 26, 2009 as a Freshman at Virgina Tech. A shocking blow to his family and friends, Ryan was always in the center of our hearts. At such a young age, Ryan has not only given us hope for the future and a stronger bond with our friends and family, but he has also given us the desire to do more with our lives. Always an outgoing person, a sincere gentleman, and a man of strong character, we gather to honor his life and continue his legacy. Click here to read more about this event.
